7th Annual Faraday Lecture

Friday, December 8 at 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Alex G. Spanos Center
1178 Larry Heller Drive, Stockton, CA 95211

The annual Faraday Lecture features Pacific chemistry professors Balint Sztarary and Liang Xue, dressed as 19th century chemists, carrying out experiments that explode, change colors and delight audiences of all ages. There will be lots of audience involvement during this great event for the whole family.

The tradition comes from the Royal Institution of Great Britain’s Christmas Lecture. The Royal Institution has offered a science lecture to children in the London community every year since 1825, with the exception of the years during World War II when the series was suspended. The lecture series was founded by Michael Faraday, considered one of the great scientists of modern history.

The event is free and open to the public and no tickets are needed to attend.

We love the Explosion and it was a really fun event to watch all the cool experiments. I recommend it for all ages.
