Brubeck Festival, Cyrille Aimée

Friday, October 26 at 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm

Faye Spanos Concert Hall
3511 Pacific Ave, Stockton, CA 95204

Acclaimed vocalist Cyrille Aimée ventured from singing on street corners in Europe to dazzling audiences at the world’s most prestigious jazz festivals; from sneaking out to sing in gypsy encampments in her native France to acting on Broadway; from braving the notoriously tough audiences at New York’s Apollo Theatre to being called a “rising star in the galaxy of jazz singers” by the New York Times.

The Brubeck Festival is a first-rate musical event celebrating the legacy of jazz icon and renowned University alumnus Dave Brubeck. This year marks the 60th anniversary of Brubeck's Jazz Diplomacy Tour of 1958. The line up for Brubeck Festival 2018 was carefully selected to reflect the inter-continental and inter-cultural message of unity and peace that was a beacon of that event.
