Friday, June 5 at 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm

Virtual Event

Join Professor James Haffner as he conducts a tour of the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique and how it is applied to training singer-actors. The Chekhov methods form the foundation of the Conservatory's extensive acting training sequence at Pacific. After the tour, Prof. Haffner will open up the conversation to participants for "spyback" which is the Chekhov word for Q&A. This session is open to all Pacific students and is part of the Conservatory's Summer Intermezzo Series.

James Haffner is Professor of Opera and Director of Opera Theatre at Pacific. He is a certified teacher of the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique and Artistic Associate with the Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium.

Incoming students should email music@pacific.edu for link information. Returning students can find link information on Canvas.
