About this Event
The annual Interfaith Baccalaureate Ceremony honors the diverse student body and religious and non-faith traditions of our Pacific family. It is a formal event in which graduating students give farewell speeches and addresses or perform.
This year, due to unprecedented circumstances, the Interfaith Baccalaureate Ceremony has been recorded and developed into a special video. The video will be available beginning on Friday, May 8, 2020, at 4 p.m. on the University of the Pacific Commencement webpage.
Student speakers include: Wajiha Tahir, Ryland Fernandez, Shiri Warshawsky, Rida Fatima and Ash Rutherford. Student musical performances by Ellanore Rose, Lok Man Lei and Jace Nath.
In addition, each year a faculty member presents a "Last Lecture.” This tradition offers an opportunity for a selected faculty member to share something special from the heart with graduates, their families and the university community. This year's Last Lecture speaker is Scott A. Jensen, professor and chair of the Department of Psychology.
