Wondering how you can help students calibrate thier own learning while aligning your teaching approaches with their needs? Metacognitive midterm feedback loops can do both! Cognitive wrappers, or reflective activities that help students make sense of feedback on graded assignments, can help students examine their learning processes and improve their performance. Similarly, collecting and discussing student feedback on their learning experience helps you confirm that students are understanding the "what" and "why" of your course while also demonstrating your investment in their learning and success. We'll discuss how both of these feedback loops can help everyone stay the course as the middle of the smester approaches.
