Mike Belote Endowed Capital Lecture on Corporate Responsibility

"Corporate Responsibility: Beyond the Bottom Line" will be the topic for the Mike Belote Endowed Capital Lecture with featured speakers Michael Hiltzik, Matina Kolokotronis, Jessica Hubbard and Mark Leonard.

Michael Hiltzik is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist. His business column appears in print every Sunday. He has been a financial and technology writer and a foreign correspondent. He is the author of six books, including “Dealers of Lightning: Xerox PARC and the Dawn of the Computer Age” and “The New Deal: A Modern History.”
Matina Kolokotronis (JD, ’89) is the Chief Operating Officer of the Sacramento Kings. A 22-year veteran of the NBA, she is the only female to hold the titles of both COO and President of Business Operations. Matina has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at McGeorge, where she taught Sports Law. Beyond her work with the Kings, Matina is a dedicated mentor and advocate for numerous women’s advancement groups and non-profits.
Jessica Hubbard is a corporate responsibility and philanthropy consultant with a background in the education sector. She specializes in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, program design, and partnership development. Jessica co-founded and led the CSR function at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt where she served as Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. She graduated from Harvard Business School, where she served as co-president of the school’s Social Enterprise Club.
Mark Leonard (JD, ’01) is General Counsel at Jelly Belly Candy Company, where he is responsible for all company litigation and all legal matters related to intellectual property, e-commerce, licensing, marketing, and international regulatory compliance among many other areas. He is also Vice-Chair of the California Lawyers Association IP Section Legislation Interest Group. Mark also volunteers with California Lawyers for the Arts, where he serves on the CLA Advisory Committee and presents annually on intellectual property issues for artists, graphic designers, and gallery owners.
