Pacific Jazz Ensemble with guest Orrin Evans

Wednesday, February 27 at 7:30 pm

Faye Spanos Concert Hall
3511 Pacific Ave, Stockton, CA 95204

Pacific Jazz Ensemble will perform with guest musician Orrin Evans, a master pianist, band leader and current member of the Bad Plus. Through 25 albums as a leader and co-leader, including his neo-soul/acid jazz ensemble Luv Park and the bracing collective trio Tarbaby, Evans has always followed a vigorously individual path.

Pacific Jazz Ensemble is a big band in the tradition of Duke Ellington and Count Basie. They perform the classics but also embrace the music of contemporary composers and arrangers. The Ensemble has an impressive list of credentials having performed at Jazz Festivals in Monterey, Reno Jazz Festival and with various prominent jazz musicians. They are directed by Patrick Langham, the Director of Jazz Studies at Pacific.

Tickets are available in advance at or at the door.
