Pacific Piano Day 2020 will be held online. High school pianists and piano teachers are invited to join the Conservatory piano faculty for a day of music making. Participate in online master classes, hear current Pacific piano students, and earn the chance to win a partial scholarship to the summer session of our Pacific Music Camp.

Master Classes

Participants will be taught in an online master class setting by Conservatory piano faculty, and will also observe fellow participants.

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED (deadline was October 20)

FEES:
$45 Participant
$25 Observer (attend, but do not perform)
$15 Piano teacher

Eligibility and Repertoire
All high school students (2020-21 school year) performing at the Certificate of Merit Level 8 and above (e.g. Bach inventions; sonatas by Haydn, Mozart or Beethoven; or Chopin nocturnes) are eligible. Participants are admitted by teacher recommendation.

For your repertoire, prepare one piece (memorization preferred).

Technical Requirements

Masterclasses will be taught via Zoom. A computer with a strong internet connection is needed, an external microphone is highly recommended. Students with an external microphone will perform live at the master class; students without one will be asked to record their performance, with the master class taking place after viewing the recording.
