Dr. Maryann Cusimano Love delivers the 2018-2019 Pope John XXIII Lecture. Cusimano Love is a tenured associate professor of international politics at Catholic University, best-selling author of award-winning children's books. She is a member of the Authors Guild and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and serves as the International Affairs Editor for America magazine. She has spoken to audiences from suburban pre-schoolers, to inner city children, to military officers at the Pentagon, diplomats at the United Nations, and news outlets such as CNN International. She is a winner of Harvard University’s Pew Faculty Fellowship for teaching and Catholic University’s Teacher of the Year Award, 

The Pope John XXIII Lecture Series focuses on contemporary questions from a Catholic perspective.
