Resident Artist Recital with guest Moni Simeonov

This recital is part of the Conservatory of Music's Resident Artist Series. The Conservatory's faculty Ann Miller, violin, Igor Veligan, viola, and Susan Lamb Cook, cello, will perform with their guest artist, Moni Simeonov, violin. Repertoire will include works by Borodin, Shostakovich and Mendelssohn.

Select Pacific Conservatory students will also play: Sabrina Boggs and Joanne Wu, violins; Anne Plescia, viola; and Malcolm King, cello.

Anative of Bulgaria, Moni Simeonov began playing the violin at age 5, and ten years later, came to the United States on a full scholarship to the Idyllwild Arts Academy in California. An active member of the IRIS Chamber Orchestra, Simeonov also performs with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Opera, Master Chorale, Ensemble San Francisco, and serves as the acting Concertmaster for the Sacramento Philharmonic.
