Saxophone Warm-up Session

Monday, July 6 at 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm

More dates through July 27, 2020

Virtual Event

The warm-up is one the most important parts of any practice routine. Professor Ricardo Martinez invites saxophonists of all ages and abilities for free virtual saxophone warm-up sessions every Monday. He will guide them through routines that will change and develop, covering a variety of playing fundamentals including long tones, breathing, posture, overtones, articulation, vibrato, scales and more.

Hopefully these Monday warm-up sessions will help set the pace for students’ practicing for the rest of the week, provide some ideas of what to practice from home, and help give the structure to a saxophone practice routine.

Warm-up music as well as general guiding resources will be provided for download.

Incoming Conservatory students and members of the community should email music@pacific.edu for link information. Returning students can find link information on Canvas.

These sessions are part of the Conservatory's Summer Intermezzo Series.
