Cholesterol is vital to many bodily functions and you can’t live without it. It exists in the foods we eat and circulates in our bloodstream, but too much of it can clog your arteries and increase your risk of heart attack or stroke. During this webinar, Edward Yu, M.D., Family Medicine physician and Chief Quality Officer at Palo Alto Medication Foundation, will:

  • Identify the different components in your cholesterol profile and how they impact your cardiovascular risk factors.
  • Review risk calculators to determine your likelihood of having a stroke or heart attack.
  • Discuss proven interventions that can lower your stroke and heart attack risks.

Dr. Edward Yu has served as the Chief Quality Officer for Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) and Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group at Sutter Health since 2014. Through his leadership, PAMF has been recognized as a top performer in clinical quality and patient experience by California’s Integrated Healthcare Association’s Value-Based Pay Programs for multiple consecutive years. Dr. Yu continues to provide clinical care as a Family Physician with his own patient panel in Mountain View, California, where he has practiced for over 20 years.

The event is free and open to all Pacific employees, but registration is required.
