Center for Teaching and Learning
William Knox Holt Memorial Library, 2nd Floor, Room 278

Are you interested in quick, easy-to-adapt activities that you can incorporate to make lecture sessions more interactive?

Would you like your students to better retain information from your lectures?

This semester’s short and impactful read, Hitting Pause: 65 Lecture Breaks to Refresh and Reinforce Learning, by Gail Taylor Rice, offers an accessible summary of the learning science behind incorporating “lecture pauses,” as well as a compendium of easy-to-modify activities you might try.

Pacific faculty and staff who RSVP will receive a free copy of the book! We will focus on pages 50- 89 for the second meeting.

Lunch will be served!
