The study of mathematics is a process that develops important modes of critical thinking. Because quantitative problem solving is a desirable skill, an applied math minor can be a beneficial addition to the program of any student at Pacific regardless of their major.

Students must complete a minimum of 20 units with a Pacific minor grade point average of 2.0 in order to earn a minor in applied mathematics.

Note: 1) Electives are to be chosen in consultation of a minor advisor. 2) Units earned for MATH 033, MATH 035,MATH 041MATH 045MATH 161, or MATH 162 do not count as elective units toward the minor in applied mathematics.
